Express Your Self with Gravatar. Maybe Gravatar (globally recognized avatar) is not a very important thing on SEO Technique. But it’s really important for all of us who want to express our self to the world (especially internet world). When I’m doing blogwalking to my friends’ blog, I often see the commentators do not have their own Gravatar. It means there are a lot of people who do not know yet about how to make their own Gravatar, although it’s an old facility actually.
See the picture above, commentators who do not have their own specific avatar, the avatar will look like the first picture, a gray picture of a person ( the second picture), or a monster picture.
Well, if you are interested to make your own Gravatar, just like the third and the fourth picture, I’ll show you how easy it is!
Go to http://gravatar.com. Then select sign-up or click here . If you are already logged in at WordPress.com, just click the Manage menu that appears at the top of the page. After you finish registering your email, you will see a display like this:
- Adding Gravatar
The picture above shows you that you do not have your own avatar yet. Therefor, you should click on “add a new one” text. Follow the next easy instructions. And don’t forget to choose “G” if the avatar can be seen by all ages, or “X” if it actually includes pornography.
- Adding an Email
Now you can add your email in order to have a special gravatar, by clicking on “add a new one” right beside the “modify this email” text. A confirmation email will be sent, and you just have to click on the link within the email. So every email will have a different gravatar.
